The Best Things to Find at a Thrift Shop
When you go to a thrift shop, you are most likely looking for either something specific or you are simply hoping to discover some unique finds. At any local thrift store you are likely to find some trinkets and furniture a lot older than you. They are always filled to the brim with antiques. If you are looking for something for your yard or home, and don’t want to spend a lot of money visit a thrift shop. Here is a list of some things you can find that may be used but have a lot of value.
- Furniture- If you need an Antique Couch or just a cheap ottoman, you will definitely find what you need at a thrift shop. Often times they have really unique pieces of furniture like decorative bird cages or old apothecary tables.
- Clothes- A thrift shop is a great place to get clothes for painting or doing some sort of heavy duty project. They are also great for Halloween costumes and the like. If you need something pretty generic and don’t mind used clothing, you can get all your ties, white tees, and overalls here too.
- Décor- It’s quite obvious that thrift shops are covered in old, gaudy décor. This is one of their hot items. Though some of it is old and not desirable for a modern home, there is still a lot to choose from. You can get really beautiful vases or baskets for your dining room at the best prices around. You will also find some great things for around your yard and your garden.
Instead of going to Pier 1 why not visit a thrift shop? If you are one of those people who like old, antique things of beauty and value, you don’t need to spend loads on brand new items that have no story. Get your photo frames and bird cages at a thrift shop, they’ll give your home more character without costing an arm and a leg.
